Our Story

Our story began in 2022, when our family took over the long-standing DaLat's Gateaux & Cafe. As the previous owners prepared for retirement, we couldn't let a place that meant so much to Louisville's Vietnamese community fade away.

Known for its bánh mì and custom cakes, we wanted to honor what people already loved while bringing our own vision to life. Over the years, DaLat's has grown into a modern Vietnamese café serving specialty coffee, matcha, boba, fresh pastries, and Vietnamese street food—all while staying true to our roots.

Since day one, our family has been dedicated to serving our community, listening to our guests, and finding ways to improve every day. Whether it's introducing new seasonal drinks, expanding our bakery, or creating a welcoming space to gather, our goal has always been the same: to share the flavors we grew up with while creating a café that feels like home.
